After leaving college I spent the next twenty years bringing up four children, travelling and in various part-time jobs, but always continuing my love affair with arts and most importantly never stopping painting, drawing and generally being creative.

Art is really important to me. I see it as an integral part of my very existence – without it I am miserable

If I had to describe my work I would say I particularly enjoy colour and light, but also like to capture movement in my work – especially when painting things that are alive!

I feel I am at my best when using mixed media. This allows me to use watercolour, pastel, acrylic and charcoal in various ways, in fact ‘anything goes'.
